Vor diesem Einsatz hatte er nicht mehr so richtig gezogen. Die Zündspulen hatten über die Jahre Risse bekommen; Wasser war eingedrungen und der Kupferlack war abgefroren. Er bekam Zündspulen von einem Außenborder-Schrottplatz in Palau auf Sardinien. Zuhause in D sind die unbezahlbar! ..oh ja! Ich liiieeebe das Gefühl, wenn es einen kräftig in den Sitz drückt!!! |

1991 Mercury L3 90HP ELPTO outboard boat motor, FULL rebuild.

Michigan motor. Brought down to FL with me to build over the winter. She's a 1991 L3 Mercury 90HP ELPTO with a 20" shaft, power t&t. EXCELLENT condition & fully rebuilt as of today 12/30/11. Now has 1 hour on rebuild in the test barrel. 150PSI on all 3 cylinders. New pistons, rings, wrist pins, pin bearings, rod bearings, crank bearings, seals, gaskets, T-stat, spark plugs. I have removed the oil injection & installed the factory Merc block off kit. Lower unit has been fully serviced as well with new impeller kit, gaskets & fluids. It did not need a rebuild as it pressure tests perfect. This is not a "hobby". I am a professional Marine Technician. You will NOT find a cleaner better running 90HP outboard in Florida without it being new. 517-230-4294*** $3K takes***. Comes with side mount controls, cables, harness,prop, everything needed. THIS IS A FULLY REBUILT OUTBOARD. NOT A USED UP SALTWATER OUTBOARD. SEE THE NEXT 2 VIDEOS. SHOWS THE PROP ENGAGING,ETC... & LAST VIDEO SHOWS POWER T&T WORKING. |

1941 Sea King K1 2.9hp Antique Outboard Boat Motor made by Kiekhaefer Mercury

This is a pre war 1941 Kiekhaefer Mercury made Montgomery Wards Sea King 2.9 hp. This means it has bronze bushing crank bearings and is a little loose which is typical of these. This one is not as bad as some and I can get it to idle ok but I have to get the mixture just right then adjust in the higher ranges. This had no prop blades and the hub wouldn't come off the shaft. Furthermore, the threads on the prop shaft busted off. I cut the hub in halves and pried them off after exhausting other methods. New prop and prop shaft supplied by my fiend and I insalled yesterday. LU is perfect. As you can seet the wobbler water pump works great. |

Diagnostic, 1991 Mercury 40 Hp Outboard Motor Compression and Spark Check 11-21-11

This is a motor that was just purchased by the current owners and taken out for the first time this last weekend. When they purchased it from the previous owner he started it up on some "Muffs" at the house and it started and ran. They did not do a compression test nor a lake test prior to purchase. The compression on this motor in good shape should be in the 130 PSI range + or - 10 PSI. The absolute bare minimum to have a motor run correctly is 100 PSI x 4. Still, the most important fact is that all cylinders are within a maximum of 10 %. The high reading on this motor is 120 PSI and the low reading on #4 is 89 PSI |
